The Oozlum Bird, sometimes spelt ouzelum, is a legendary creature found in Australian and British folk lore. Some versions have it that when startled, the bird takes off and flies around in ever-decreasing circles untl it manages to fly up its own backside, disappearing completely. This adds to its rareity. I found this one lurking in a milky, muddy, puddle on Sheildaig jetty. The crafty tweeter was disguised as a fallen leaf.
